Your new Gold Visa deferred-debit card
Your new Gold Visa deferred-debit card which accompanies your Gold Bank Account will continue to offer you the flexibility and convenience of an instant access current account, in addition to many other features and benefits. How to activate your new card
When you receive your new Gold Visa deferred-debit card(s) and PIN(s), your existing card(s) will be automatically deactivated on 31 December 2013. You’ll need to activate your new
card(s) upon immediate receipt of your PIN. If you hold more than one Visa deferred-debit card with us, wait until you have received all your cards and PINS before activating.
Once you receive your new Gold Visa deferred-debit card and PIN you will need to carry out the following steps:
Sign the card
Sign the back of your card.
Activate your card
Simply call our dedicated line + 44 (0) 1534 885 100 from 8.00am – 8.00pm UK time, Monday to Friday. From 09 November until 15 December 2013, we are open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00am – 4.00pm for card activations. This number can also be found on the sticker on your new card. Please wait until you have received your PIN before calling us to activate your new card.
Destroy your existing card(s)
Cut up and securely dispose of your existing card(s), including the replacement card if you were issued with one in October.
Re-register for Verified by Visa
Re-register for Verified by Visa, the secure online payment system, click here to register online or complete the registration process at a participating retailer.
To re-register, you will be asked to enter information from your card and provide additional information. You will then be able to create your own password and personal message for extra security.
Set up Direct Debits
You will need to transfer any existing Direct Debits linked to your card to your new card. This does not affect any Direct Debits linked to your Gold Bank Account. These will not be affected as we are not making any changes to your account.
To transfer your existing Direct Debit and link it to your new card, you will need to contact the retailer/supplier, who will send you a new Direct Debit mandate form to complete.
